Who we are
Bona is a trading name. We run Bona from South Africa. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Bona, and “you” means the business that signs up and the people it lets use Bona.
The quickest way to reach us is the contact form on our homepage.
What Bona does
Bona is live cobrowsing for support teams. You add one script tag to your website. When one of your customers clicks “Share screen with support” and then “Allow”, your agent sees their page live in the Bona agent console. Passwords, card numbers, one-time codes and any field you mark as private are masked on the customer’s own device before anything is sent.
Features we label “coming soon” are not part of the service until they ship.
Your account and seats
- A seat is one agent signed in at that moment. Logins are unlimited, and your plan sets how many agents can be signed in at once.
- Keep agent logins private, and tell us straight away if you think one has been misused. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Only install Bona on websites you own or are allowed to change.
Free trial
The free trial lasts 14 days, includes every feature in Team for up to 10 seats, and needs no card. To keep using Bona after the trial, choose a paid plan.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in South African Rand and exclude VAT.
- Team plans are paid in advance by card. Payments are processed by PayFast, and we never see or store your full card number.
- Contact centre bands and pilots are paid by invoice and EFT, as set out in your order.
- If we change our prices, we will tell you before the change, and it applies from your next billing period.
Cancelling
You can cancel a monthly plan at any time. Our refund policy explains when a cancellation takes effect and when refunds apply.
Using Bona fairly
Use Bona lawfully and only to help your customers. In particular, don’t:
- use Bona to view a page without the customer’s knowledge and consent;
- try to get around masking, the consent prompts or the separate permission for remote control;
- attack, overload, copy or reverse engineer the service; or
- use Bona for anything unlawful, harmful or deceptive.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules or doesn’t pay. Where we can, we’ll warn you first.
Personal information
Our privacy policy explains what we process and why. When your customers share their screen, you decide why and how their personal information is used, and we process it on your behalf. Under POPIA that makes you the responsible party and us your operator. The Compliance add-on includes a POPIA operator agreement signed with us.
Availability
We work hard to keep Bona running, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted. Contact centre bands come with a service level agreement, and its terms apply to those customers.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under South African law that cannot be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Bona grows. We’ll post the new version on this page and tell account holders about important changes before they take effect.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
